
Dan Chavez
Dan Chavez is the Vice President of Training Innovation and Performance at Arcadia Cognerati. He leads the strategy, design, and execution of large-scale training programs focused on improving organizational performance outcomes for agencies operating in high-risk and complex environments.
With over 15 years of experience across the public and private sectors, Dan is a recognized leader in instructional design, human performance technology (HPT), and organizational development. Using a performance-first lens, Dan works to identify and align mission-critical objectives and outcomes, associated roles and responsibilities, and evidence-based learning strategies.
Dan has previously supported the design and implementation of large-scale, enterprise-wide learning and development programs for federal agencies including the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). As Assistant Commissioner for Training & Development at the New York City Department of Correction (NYCDOC), he oversaw the transformation of workforce development for more than 8,000 correction officers—modernizing instructional methods and training delivery, improving operational readiness, and driving culture change across the agency.
Dan holds a Master’s Degree in Instructional Design and Human Performance Technology, an MBA, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). As a veteran of the U.S. Army’s 75th Ranger Regiment, Dan brings a mission-oriented mindset to every engagement and strives to improve the lives of those dedicated to public service and the communities they serve.
